

There is no charge for you to train! The Platinum framework includes online courses, Instructor Training Evaluations (ITE’s), and ProLevel 1, 2, and 3 role progressions. The next step of the PDP EE focuses on a set of courses in the Non-Structural ProLevel 1 and Refinish ProLevel 1 roles and includes new Instructor Guide that will help school Educators apply the curriculum by combining and enhancing the supporting classroom documents and the Instructor Manual.

After completing ProLevel 3, you must complete at least six credit hours of relevant professional training by each annual renewal date. I-CAR Platinum is now available to all technical school Educators teaching the I-CAR Professional Development Program – Education Edition (PDP-EE). After an additional 12 months, you must pass ProLevel 3. These courses satisfy ProLevel 2 requirements for the Platinum Educator Role. Your students, in turn, will increase their engagement and enhance their learning experience. These courses will enable you to convey information more effectively while building stronger relationships with your students.

In December 2017, I-CAR released a new series of online Presentations Skills courses designed specifically to benefit instructors. Example: If a Gold Class shop is trained to the current ProLevel 1 rules by Dec. ASE recognizes I-CAR ProLevel 2®, ProLevel 3® or Platinum status to satisfy the requirements for ASE collision repair and refinish work experience, whilr I-CAR grants two course credits toward Platinum annual training requirements for technicians who hold an ASE collision repair certification.
